Mouth Guards and Concussions Mandeville, Covington, Slidell, Hammond, New Orleans

After all the buzz created when we made Neuromuscular Performance Mouth Guards for the Saints, a lot has happened. The original company was taken over and ruined. New companies have sprung up but not been as successful. One I am loosely affiliated with is on the cusp of greatness in the near future. The NFL commissioner, in response, claimed that ( and it is some what true ) there are no studies connecting reduction of concussions to wearing mouth guards.

Really?! If you've played a rough contact sport, you would quickly learn what MMA fighters and Boxers all know - it's more than about the teeth. And THAT, in and of itself, is enough for me!

One company is actually measuring shocks to the head at Notre Dame with a velocimeter attached to the guard!

Many brands of "boil and bite" guards are out there. A friend of mine is even coming up with a do-it-yourself " "stick-bite" kit as I do for younger players.

The main problem has always been the cost of getting a HIGH QUALITY, COMFORTABLE, and EFFECTIVE guard that lets you breath ( like my friend Anil Makkar's original design of the PPM ) and improves performance and protects your teeth and shock to your brain.

As a result, in my current stance, I am making three guards.

First, a quality, custom fit, comfortable personally customized look, guard for general use in contact sports for all ages.

Second, for more serious young athletes or adults who want to "up" their game, I am offering a bite guided by kinesiological principles.

Third, for those such as Pro Athletes, College Players, and serious High Schoolers looking for Scholarships and Awards, I am offering a Neuromuscular Mouth Guard for much less than I did in 'o9 for the Saints.

The Original two labs that have been making my guards are still doing these quality appliances for my patients.

From Golf to MMA, Football to Gymnastics, we can help you get More out your body, with More safety, and More comfort at MoreSMILES. CALL today 985-809-7645.
