Buckets of Hope Shipped to Haiti

We wrapped up our drive to collect food items to be sent to Haiti with 18 full buckets of rice, beans, sugar, and flour. Thanks to all of you who brought grocery bags full of items to fill our buckets and to those of you who contributed funds used to purchase additional items. Dr. Moreau, assisted by (from left) Adam, Annelise and Alex, loaded our buckets from the reception room into the back of his van and hauled them to the collection point at First Baptist Church of Covington. There, with about 2,000 other buckets from throughout the New Orleans area, the Buckets of Hope were loaded into 18-wheelers for the trip to a cargo ship that carried them directly to Haiti. Each bucket contained staple food items to feed a family of 4 for a week. Thanks again to all of our patients who contributed to this charitable program and helped make it so successful.
